Disclaimer: First off, this is an RPG journal. I ain't claiming to own Mr. Reid.
Also! Because Reid is so well-versed in the world of literature and media, I have decided to play a certain way as to make the game both fun and fair. Reid still has his vast encyclopedic knowledge of stuff and things, but if a someone from a piece of media is present aboard the Barge, for whatever reason (Barge magic?), he does not necessarily make the connection
Example: Reid knows Star Wars. Oh, he knows it quite well. However, if Hans Solo were to show up upon the Barge, Reid would not make the connection. Yes, Hans Solo is a character in Star Wars, Reid knows. There's also an inmate named that. How interesting! Totally unrelated. Reid will still continue to know Star Wars canon, but not necessarily realize that Hans is the same guy.
Why do I do this? I don't think it's as fun if Reid goes in immediately knowing everything there is to know about his cohorts. He has an eidetic memory; he's not gonna forget anything he already knows. But at the same time, there's no role playing to take place if he knows everything. THEREFORE, REID IS AS LITERATE AS EVER BUT NOT MAKING CONNECTIONS IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS.
